CHPA at the party Conferences
CHPA are organising a series of two fringe events at each of the party conferences. The events will be held in conjunction with Friends of the Earth, National Energy Action, Town and Country Planning Association, SERA and Co-operative Financial Services. We will be urging policy makers to use the planning framework to develop local energy strategies which exploit the opportunities for CHP based community energy. We are pleased to confirm that these sessions will include direct participation from some of the biggest political figures in UK Politics. The events will be held outside of the security zone and do not require a security pass or delegate badge. We would urge anyone who interested to come down and attend.

Heat and Power Course
The course will progressively build up the delegates’ understanding
of the prime movers, steam plant, and the thermodynamic principles of CHP.
A key aspect of the course will be the methods of performance evaluation and
energy demand analysis, from which is derived the financial evaluation of
the CHP proposal. This course will provide delegates with the knowledge to
develop a CHP proposal with a sound business case, to take advantage of current
and forward market conditions. The presentations, given by experienced engineers
on all the subjects involved, are complemented by discussion sessions and
